The Nikon SB-5000 AF Speedlight is a flagship flash unit that redefines on- and off-camera lighting with advanced performance and wireless versatility. Introducing 2.4 GHz radio control to Nikons Creative Lighting System, it enables Advanced Wireless Lighting for up to six groups of flashes at distances up to 98' without requiring line of sight. The SB-5000 is also fully compatible with Nikons optical triggering system, allowing you to mix and match units for maximum flexibility. It boasts a worlds first shoe-mounted flash cooling system, capable of over 100 consecutive full-power flashes without overheating, making it ideal for demanding shoots.

With a guide number of 113' at ISO 100 and 35mm (180' at 200mm), it delivers exceptional power in a compact design. The flash head tilts from -7° to 90° and rotates up to 180°, offering wide bounce and swivel options, while the built-in diffusion panel covers 1424mm in FX format. Manual output ranges from 1/1 to 1/256, and flash exposure compensation spans -3 to +3 EV in 1/3 steps. Full sync mode support includes slow, high-speed, 1st, and 2nd curtain sync. Powered by four AA batteries with a recycle time of 1.82.

6 seconds, it can be further optimized with the SK-6 Power Bracket or SD-9 Battery Pack. A backlit LCD, Info button, and auxiliary PC terminal enhance user control, while Unified Flash Control via Nikons Camera Control Pro 2 software allows settings customization and firmware updates through the camera.
