Ape Labs Connect 2.0 IP Grey + American DJ WMX1 MK2 Package Description

The Ape Labs Connect 2.0 IP Grey + American DJ WMX1 MK2 Package creates a flexible lighting control system for users who want physical standalone DMX control together with Ape Labs wireless operation. The WMX1 MK2 provides hands-on programming through a 4.3-inch color touchscreen, rotary encoders, and 37 backlit silicone buttons, while the Ape Labs Connect can receive the controller's DMX signal and transmit it wirelessly to compatible Ape Labs fixtures.

The WMX1 MK2 is designed for computer-free operation and includes two DMX universes as standard, with expansion to as many as four universes available through optional WTOOLS upgrades. It supports up to 680 fixtures and beams, up to 50 fixture types, and as many as 5,000 fixture features. Eight independent fixture groups, real-time FX engines, an 8-step sequencer, color and position controls, music synchronization, and MIDI triggering make it well suited for mobile DJs, bands, clubs, bars, event spaces, and other live lighting environments.

The Ape Labs Connect 2.0 IP Grey adds wireless communication with compatible Ape Labs fixtures at distances of up to 1,200 meters / 3,900 feet. It can function as an Ape Labs app dongle, wireless DMX transmitter, wireless DMX receiver, or master microphone for Sound Active operation. Its built-in battery provides up to 50 hours of operation per charge, while 3-pin Neutrik DMX input and output connections allow it to integrate with standard DMX controllers such as the WMX1 MK2.

Using the Ape Labs Android or iOS app, users can wirelessly address and configure fixtures, create and save custom colors and programs, adjust brightness, speed, and strobe, control fixture groups, select Sound Active behavior, check battery information, update fixture firmware, and share custom programs, scenes, and colors. A compatible Android or iOS phone or tablet is required for app-based functions.

The included SquareCable DMX-05 provides the wired connection between the WMX1 MK2 and Ape Labs Connect. Its 110-ohm twisted-pair construction, all-metal 3-pin XLR connectors, gold-plated contacts, Duofoil and braided shielding, and bend-resistant jacket are designed for reliable DMX data transmission in mobile and installed lighting systems.
