Korg Opsix Module Altered FM Synthesizer

Create unbelievable FM synthesizer patches with ease and flexibility with the Korg opsix module, an altered digital FM synthesizer that features a true 6-operator sound generator with a diversity of waveforms and operator modes that go far beyond the realm of standard FM. The opsix module features a 64-voice architecture and provides the editing simplicity of analog synthesis to control the power of the FM engine. There are six sets of knobs and sliders on the opsix mkII panel, each with bicolor LEDs, which help you quickly and clearly see the relationships between operators change with each algorithm. Make direct changes to the pitch and volume for carriers, brightness of the sound, and strength of the harmonics for the modulators. These controls give you sonic control over the unpredictability of FM just by subtracting and adding sounds as if you were using a mixer or drawbars. The opsix module ships with a power supply and includes a free bundle of music software.
opsix Desktop/Rackmount Module
The opsix module supports MIDI 2.0 property exchange and poly aftertouch, and is an excellent companion to Keystage. It's fully compatible with the sounds of the original opsix, opsix mk II, opsix SE, and opsix native software, as well as numerous excellent third-party libraries, keeping the updated sounds and software fresh. The new 19" rack-mountable enclosure has the same controls as the keyed models, yet it is easily transportable and fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.
MIDI 2.0
With the latest software updates, all models of opsix hardware and software now support MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange. Hundreds of the original factory sounds have been updated to include Polyphonic Aftertouch modulation (Channel Aftertouch is supported as well). All of this makes the opsix module an excellent companion to Korg's Keystage controller.
The opsix module is cleverly designed for both desktop and rackmount use. The panel is redesigned to fit into a standard 19" width, and the rear jack panel is recessed to allow easy access to cables even with gear mounted directly above. With desktop setups, brackets offer a choice of panel angles: flatter for performing standing up, or more upright for working while seated in your studio.

Choose from a wide range of analog-style filters to add a vintage feel to your sound, from the sharp KORG MS-20 lowpass/highpass filter to the powerful and smooth KORG Polysix lowpass filter. There are also 2-pole and 4-pole low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and band-reject filters with resonance.
It has a built-in spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope, allowing you to visually check the tone you are creating through the screen.
