Thermalright HR-EA001 C 2.5 Inch SATA HDD and SSD Enclosure
Turn a compatible 2.5 inch SATA hard drive or solid-state drive into portable external storage. The HR-EA001 C supports drives with capacities up to 2TB and is suitable for reusing an old laptop drive, transferring files, expanding storage or keeping a separate photo and video library.
Up to 5Gbps USB 3.0 Transfer
The USB 3.0 interface provides a theoretical transfer rate of up to 5Gbps, with tested transfer speeds of approximately 460MB/s under suitable conditions. Actual speed depends on the installed drive, computer interface, file size and operating environment.
Tool-Free Slide-Cover Design
No screws or screwdriver are required. Open the cover, connect the SATA drive and slide the enclosure closed for convenient installation and drive replacement.
Supports 7mm and 9.5mm SATA Drives
The enclosure accommodates 2.5 inch SATA 2.0 and SATA 3.0 HDDs and SSDs with capacities up to 2TB. Two foam pads are included to help secure a 7mm drive and reduce movement inside the enclosure.
Detachable Type-C to USB-A Cable
The drive enclosure uses a Type-C port and includes a cable with a USB-A host connector. The detachable design makes the cable easier to store and replace.
Compatibility Notice
This enclosure supports 2.5 inch SATA drives only. It does not support IDE/PATA drives, M.2 SATA SSDs, M.2 NVMe SSDs or 3.5 inch hard drives. HDD and SSD are sold separately.
