Designed to complement the ART-Series or any full-range speaker, the RCF SUB 905-AS MK3 is a professional 15" high-powered active subwoofer well suited for bands, DJs, clubs, touring companies, and rental houses.
The subwoofer's integrated Class-D amplifier delivers 2200W of peak power to the 15" driver, which offers a frequency range of 40 to 120 Hz with a maximum SPL of 133 dB, making it great for highly demanding applications. Rear-panel controls include presets, crossover frequency, and polarity selection, cardioid, and output delay settings. The tour-ready, rugged all-wood cabinet with scratch-resistant polyurea coating is stackable and lightweight, ensuring quick setups and teardowns.
Legendary Subwoofers
RCF subwoofers are the first choice of many sound engineers, thanks to the very high SPL levels at very low frequencies, small dimensions compared to the competitors, self-powered design, long-term reliability, and impressive size/weight to SPL output ratio. Your crowd will be able to live an engaging immersive experience in both live sound and DJing applications.
Industry-Leading Subs
Lightweight and powerful, RCF woofers are a reference in high performance. Engineers have developed RCF Precision Transducers with new specific magnet sizes and molds to optimize magnetic flux while maintaining a low weight.
The 15", 3.0" voice-coil magnetic-circuit topology is capable of delivering the highest balanced level of performance in three specific areas: maintenance of a consistent high-integrity magnetic flux gap, exceptionally low distortion, and efficiently integrating the magnetic circuit in a minimum weight design.
The T-pole design optimization generates the minimum amount of flux modulation in the magnetic assembly during typical voice-coil movement within the gap.
Power That Moves
The most powerful amplifier in its class. RCF's improvements in transducer design make RCF's woofers stronger and powerful, so the amplifier follows the evolution. With 1100W RMS power, RCF's Class-D amplifier is able to manage extreme sound-pressure levels with an ultrafast attack, realistic transient response, and very low heat loss. They are so energy-efficient that there's no need for a cooling fanthe amplifier is attached to a solid aluminum heat exchanger in the rear of the cabinet with no moving parts.
The stereo input circuit with crossover features a new low-distortion design with an advanced safety limiter, maintaining the true character of the input signal at all levels. RCF amplifiers are designed according to EN62368-1 for maximum safety and present a switched-mode power supply section, joining high-efficiency with minimum weight.
Bass Motion Control
When searching for extended bass with enhanced performance, RCF engineers found a way to remove the high-pass filter, replacing it with a forward-thinking approach. Introducing BMC (Bass Motion Control), the newly advanced woofer excursion-management feature. The speaker equipped with BMC can handle the lowest audible frequencies without affecting woofer stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity.
The BMC method works by creating a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that only limits overexcursions.
