Compact and expressive, the Arturia Keystep mk2 is a portable USB-C MIDI controller keyboard and sequencer sporting 32 slim keys with both velocity sensitivity and aftertouch. Loaded with deep sequencing capacityincluding 64 steps with eight-note polyphony, and an arpeggiator with nine patterns and 16 modesthis keyboard is a lightweight yet powerful idea machine.

The Keystep mk2 features intuitive touch-capacitive pitchbend and modulation controls. Full transport controls and an OLED screen make it easy to keep a handle on your productions. When your creativity needs a little spark, the Keystep mk2 offers a one-touch phrase mutation and generation control, chord and scale modes, and the ability to chain, evolve, and transform sequences with precision and ease. Connectivity is versatile, with modern USB-C for host connections, power, and MIDI, full-size DIN 5-pin MIDI I/O, 3.5mm TRS sync I/O, a pedal sustain/expression input, and four CV/gate outputs via 3.5mm for gate, pitch, Mod 1, and Mod 2. The Keystep mk2 includes a USB-C to USB-A cable.

Ideas Machine

KeyStep mk2 is a generative idea machine as much as a controller, with its polyphonic step sequencer, 16-mode arpeggiator, pattern chaining, and creative tools like mutate all working in symbiosis. Build a riff with the arpeggiator, convert it into a sequence, and then transform it. Use Mutate to hear new variations on the fly, try a different octave, adjust note lengths, add silences, overdub additional notes, and record bend and wheel automationskeep your ideas evolving with immediacy.
