This adapter works great for most analog pedals (distortion, overdrive, EQ, etc.).
If you're using it with digital pedals (delay, reverb, looper, multi-fx), please note:
- Digital pedals draw 2–3x higher current for a split second when powered on.
- Connecting multiple digital pedals to one adapter may cause them to fail starting up — even if total current seems fine.
Suggestion:
- Use a dedicated power supply for digital pedals.
- Keep total current under 80% of the adapter's rating.
Reverse Polarity Cable*1 – What It's For:
The included reverse polarity cable (the single short cable) is NOT for direct single-pedal power.
It's a polarity converter for center-positive pedals (rare/older models) only. For standard center-negative pedals, use the daisy chain cable directly.
Why won't the included short cable power my single pedal? / What is the purpose of this short single cable?
The reverse polarity cable (the single short cable) is not for direct power. It converts polarity for rare center-positive pedals only. For standard pedals, use the daisy chain cable. Plugging the reverse cable alone will not power your pedal.
Can I use this power supply with digital effect pedals?
It works best with analog pedals (distortion, overdrive, EQ, etc.). For digital pedals (delay, reverb, looper, multi-fx), please read the tips below.
Why won't my digital pedals start even if total current is within the rating?
Digital pedals draw 2–3x higher current for a split second when powering on. If multiple digital pedals start at the same time, the combined peak may exceed what the adapter can deliver — causing them to fail starting up.
