Quarter Pound Jazzmaster - Neck

Delivering over twice the power of a conventional Strat single-coil, the Quarter Pound Staggered offers a robust and punchy midrange along with a well-defined top end that is always ready to be cranked. The hand-polished, diameter Alnico 5 rod magnets utilize the classic Strat pole stagger and are paired with a potent custom coil winding to provide sparkling midrange harmonics, excellent sustain, and big, full chords. The Quarter Pound Staggered RWRP for Stratocaster employs the same diameter Alnico 5 rod magnets and high-output custom coil winding as the standard version but is constructed reverse wound, reverse polarity so that, when used with the neck or bridge pickups in positions 2 and 4, it delivers noiseless operation.

On its own, it provides the same enhanced, punchy tone that you obtain from the standard wound model. The neck/bridge and middle pickups are also offered in an optional tapped variation, enabling you to access both vintage and high-output tonalities with a single set. The bobbins are hand-built using a custom high-output coil wind, diameter Alnico 5 rod magnets, and are wax potted for performance free of squeal. Modern oval Forbon flatwork (non-triangular) is utilized, which allows this pickup to fit into any guitar that is routed for single coils.
