These 8-inch connectors are ideal for roofs, larger pavilions and pergolas, and rafters. These steel connectors are manufactured with 3/16-inch heavy gauge galvanized steel and are black powder coated to offer corrosion-resistant hardware. Unlike your conventional wood post bases, brackets, and connectors, our Ornamental Wood Ties line of products does not require additional labor and materials to conceal them. These connectors can be used with all types of lumber, from pressure-treated to cedar, giving your project a timeless look. Ornamental Wood Ties Timber Bolts need to be purchased separately. The top two holes of each plate will require additional fasteners (timber bolts are recommended) to fasten to the beam. We do not recommend using screws to secure top hole placement for this post-to-beam application.
