SmartTone Technology Enable the SmartTone feature as follows, flipping the toner slide switch to TONE. The red and black leads are connected to the corresponding wires. Press the button twice to cut alternate tones. At the far end of the cable use the detector to find the loudest pair of wires, then keep the detector on, short and disconnect the wires of the pair, and confirm the target pair by the change of tone.
Simple and Portable The electrical toner works effectively by connecting the pro3000 toner to the line and then tracking the signal with the pro3000 probe. The probe's ergonomic design allows it to be carried around in a pouch.
Widely Used The pro3000 tone generator can be used to detect cables, wires and wire pairs. The probe has a 3.5 mm monaural headphone jack on the side of the probe, and compatible headphones can be adapted.
