Please confirm your is a NVMe SSD and install it in a right way, if confirm, you can check "Disk-Management" and the "Universal Serial Bus controller" and "Storage controller" in the "Device-Management", sometimes your hard drive would shown there.
Why the speed is slower than advertised?
Please confirm whether your device's port supports 40Gbps. If it does not, the transfer speed will be limited to the maximum speed supported by the port.
