HIGH-TEMPERATURE N48SH GRADE NEODYMIUM MAGNET - Equipped with a powerful rare earth magnet rated for high temperatures. This magnet effectively captures unwanted ferrous particles, ensuring cleaner oil and extending engine life. It operates in temperatures up to 150°C (302°F), higher than standard magnets and normal operating oil temperatures of 105°C (220°F). Neodymium magnets are one of the strongest magnets available on the planet, giving the strength to hold weights over 2.2 lbs.

What makes our drain plug unique outside its flawless craftsmanship and top-notch materials is the heart of it, a HIGH TEMPERATURE NEODYMIUM MAGNET. Our plug uses a rare earth high strength neodymium magnet, rated specifically to function in high temperature environments extracting unwanted ferrous particles from your vehicles engine. The drain plug magnet will operate in temperatures to 150°C or 302°F, this is higher than most standard magnets which stop working at 175°F. A quality motor oil will tolerate oil temperatures up to 250 degrees, but starts breaking down once you reach 275 degrees.
The operating temperature for engine oil is between 194 to 230°F, so our magnet will work in temperatures far past that of engine oil.

Our goal with the complete design of our plug is to provide one with the highest quality standard, that starts with using a metal that will be strong enough to last for years. Our 304 stainless steel is sourced from here in the states, promising not to be a weak recycled material often found in foreign metals.

Neodymium magnets are one of the strongest magnets available on the planet, and we use one of the strongest grade versions available. Our magnet has the strength to hold weights over 2.2 lbs! This empowers our plug with enormous strength to effectively pull these unwanted metals out of your motor oil resulting in longer engine life. Loose metal debris in your engine oil can slowly start to wear on the internals of your engine. Our magnet will extract the small metal particles that are too fine for oil filters to catch. Oil filters are designed to catch particles larger than 35 microns, our plug will catch the finer particles your filter can not.
It will also capture larger metal shavings that plug oil filters.
