BACKFLOW PREVENTION: Unlike non-air gap faucets, this air gap faucet requires a drain connection in order to prevent backflow; by creating a physical break in the flow of water between the RO system and the drain, it ensures that wastewater cannot siphon back into the clean water supply, protecting your water from unwanted materials.
