Second Headphone Jack: HIFI LINE OUT delivers standard 2 Vrms line level for powered speakers, a stereo receiver or a headphone amplifier, and is designed to drive loads of 10 k or higher. Headphones plugged in here will sound quiet use PH-OUT for headphones. Both jacks are clearly marked on the bracket.
Optical and Coaxial for Everything Else: Feed a home-theater receiver, active monitors or an external DAC through TOSLINK optical or coaxial S/PDIF (up to 24-bit/192 kHz; DSD and 768 kHz stay on the analog outputs). All four connectors are live at the same time and share one source, so headphones and speakers can stay plugged in no switching in Windows.
