THUNDERBOLT 4 / USB4 PORT REQUIRED: Connects to Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 5, or USB4 USB-C (Type-C) ports. Not compatible with USB 3.2, USB 3.1, or USB 3.0 ports. Look for the Thunderbolt or USB4 symbol on your computer's port. Windows 10+, macOS 10.12+ (Thunderbolt 3) / 11+ (USB4), Linux 3.10+.
10GbE OVER USB-C: Adds a 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) RJ45 port for wired speeds up to 10Gbps - built for NAS, servers, video editing, and multi-gig networks. Auto-negotiates to 5GbE, 2.5GbE, 1GbE, and 100Mbps. A full 10G link requires a 10GbE , switch, or NAS on the other end plus a CAT6a or better cable; a 10Gbps internet plan alone will not do it, and a slower host port will negotiate below 10G.

ALUMINUM HEATSINK CHASSIS - GIVE IT AIR: The aluminum body is the heatsink, so the housing gets hot to the touch during sustained 10G transfers; that is how heat leaves the chipset. Leave it in open air, not under a laptop, in a bag, or in a closed drawer, and keep it clear on long, heavy jobs. Bus-powered, no power brick. Status LEDs: green = 10GbE link, amber = lower speed, flashing = activity.
SIMPLE SETUP - DRIVERS ONLY WHEN NEEDED: macOS and most Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 systems are plug-and-play. Windows and Linux may require the Marvell AQC113 driver. Allow 15-30 seconds to initialize; on Windows, disable Energy-Efficient Ethernet in the adapter's Advanced settings for the most stable 10G link.
WOL, PXE & TUNABLE FOR IT ENVIRONMENTS: Supports Wake-on-LAN (WOL) and PXE boot for IT and remote deployments. Includes a USB4 cable. For maximum throughput, enable jumbo frames and raise receive buffers in the adapter settings.
