This A+E Key to M-Key M.2 riser adapter is specially developed for thin laptops and mini PCs with spare 2230 A+E Key wireless M.2 slots. Users can remove the original Wi-Fi card and install NVMe M-Key SSD via this adapter to expand storage capacity without replacing the motherboard.
One end adopts standard 2230 A+E male gold finger to plug into motherboard Wi-Fi slot; the other side is M-Key female socket for NVMe SSD installation. Matching metal fixing bracket and complete screw kit provide stable mechanical support for long 2280 SSD, preventing vibration and poor contact during daily carrying.
Important Note: The A+E Key slot only provides PCIe x1 channel, bandwidth is limited, cannot reach full PCIe 4.0 x4 speed. It is suitable for secondary storage (file storage, backup disk), not recommended as primary high-speed gaming/editing system disk.
Incompatible with B+M Key SATA SSD, only works for NVMe protocol M-Key solid state drives. Ideal for laptop storage upgrade, mini host secondary disk expansion, vintage notebook hardware renovation and industrial embedded equipment storage expansion.
