Does this ever make a 'crinkly' plastic-bag-like sound? (reported on similar products) ...Is it real gel? On another site, similar products have been shown to contain mostly foam and a very small pouch of gel in the core.

It makes no sounds and it is very soft and feels just like gel should. very comfortable and gel like feeling.
