The Tripp Lite PS607HG20AOEM is a 20A, UL 1363A-compliant medical-grade power strip for patient-care areas when properly mounted. It suits hospitals and clinical teams powering equipment on IV poles, mobile carts, crash carts, and medical workstations, with six hospital-grade outlets and a 7-foot cord.
Recommended For
- Clinical engineering teams equipping IV poles, mobile medical workstations, crash carts, or other movable patient-care equipment that needs several hospital-grade outlets in a patient-care vicinity.
- Healthcare facilities that need a UL 1363A power strip mounted to a movable patient-care equipment assembly; the manufacturer notes that a PSCLAMP is required for the permanent attachment specified by UL 1363A.
- Care teams and facility planners setting up carts or workstations in operating rooms, therapy rooms, imaging environments, or administrative areas where properly mounted medical-grade power distribution is needed.
- Healthcare facilities that want locking covers over unused outlets to reduce exposure to debris and discourage unauthorized connections on equipment carts.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- On a mobile medical workstation in a patient-care area, staff can power several cart-mounted medical devices from one properly secured strip; the devices can move with the cart while remaining connected to its power distribution.
- When equipment is mounted on an IV pole, the strip can travel with the pole and provide outlets for its connected medical devices, reducing the need to plug each device into a separate nearby outlet.
- For a crash cart with plug-connected medical equipment, a properly installed strip can keep the equipment powered from the cart assembly when it is positioned near a suitable outlet.
- In an operating or treatment room, a team can use the mounted strip to distribute power to medical equipment attached to a mobile cart or workstation; its patient-care-vicinity use depends on proper installation and facility requirements.
- When a mobile medical workstation is set up near a compatible outlet, its 7-foot cord can connect the cart-mounted equipment to that outlet without requiring the cart to sit directly beside it.
