SFP fits: single-mode, multimode or WDM single-fiber, LC or SC, from any brand. For a 2.5G fiber link you need a 2.5G SFP at BOTH ends. If you only have 1G modules, set the DIP switch to 1G and the link runs at 1G.

BUILT FOR A LONG RUN WHERE COPPER WILL NOT GO - Converts 2.5GB ase-T copper to fiber, so distance stops being a cable-length problem and becomes a module choice. Fiber carries no surge from a lightning strike the way copper does, and radiates nothing - the reason it is specified for outdoor conduit, between buildings and near radio equipment.
