Celebrating 100 Years of Leica, this limited edition D-Lux 8 Digital Camera pays homage to the shape and materials of Leica's history, including the M11 rangefinder and the original Leica from 1925. The minimalistic redesign features leather-textured armoring and a nickel-colored finish on the lens, lens cap, and controls while omitting the thumb grip, red logo, and camera model name. Instead, the hot shoe cover has a subtle black "100" logo designating the camera's commemorative centennial.

Offering top quality in a compact digital camera, the D-Lux 8 delivers versatile portability, a seamless user experience, and simplified controls for improved comfort and operability. The eighth generation in D-Lux cameras, the camera has a 17MP Four Thirds CMOS sensor and a fixed 10.9-34mm f/1.7-2.8 lens providing a 24-75mm full-frame equivalency. The first D-Lux model to feature DNG file support, the camera couples a 3" 1.84m-dot TFT LCD with a 2.36MP OLED EVF. A built-in eye sensor allows the camera to automatically switch between the LCD panel and the viewfinder. Smartphone connectivity is easy using the Leica FOTOS app. An included, shoe-mounted flash allows you to reliably capture photos in various lighting conditions.
