Nikon D610 is a full HD camera with a 1080p video recording quality range at 30 fps. With a 24.3 CMOS sensor and EXPEED 3 image processor, it produces excellent quality images!
Nikon D610 is a full-frame DSLR camera with an FX-format 24.3 megapixel CMOS sensor. It is a full HD camera that furnishes 1080p video quality and generates high-resolution images/videos with a wide dynamic range, thanks to EXPEED 3 image processors. With an expandable ISO 25600, it works excellently in low-light conditions. The processor and sensor of the camera work together to create images with dynamic range and true colors. If DX-dedicated lenses are attached to the camera, the sensor will automatically change to DX-format and allow the capturing of stills in the format.
Our Take on the Nikon D610 DSLR Camera:
The processor adds speed to the camera functions and allows a 6 fps continuous shooting rate. It can also record a series of images continuously at a frame rate of 3 fps without lowering and raising the reflex mirror of the unit. The Nikon D610 DSLR is designed with a Multi-cam 4800 AF sensor that furnishes fast autofocus speeds using a 39-point array. According to the situation, 9, 21, and 39 point arrays can be also be used. Among them, seven centrally-located AF points are compatible with f/8 or faster lenses. Four AF modes are used in phase-detection, namely Single-point AF mode, Dynamic AF mode, 3D tracking mode, and Auto-Area AF mode. Along with phase detection, it has four contrast-detection AF modes too, namely Face-priority AF, Wide-area AF, Normal-area AF, and Subject-tracking AF.
For improving the sound quality of the Nikon D610, both an external microphone input as well as a headphone jack for real-time monitoring of recorded sound are included in the design. It is incorporated with an HDMI output for transferring files, which is especially useful in post-production environments. The camera features a pop-up flash, which also provides additional functions besides being a source of light. It can act as a wireless commander, capable of communicating i-TTL exposure information to two groups of external flashes.
The lightweight and portable camera incorporates a 0.7 x magnification pentaprism viewfinder and a 3.2" 921k-dot LCD monitor. It is designed with dual SD memory card slots. The camera uses the GP-1A GPS unit so that it can transfer locational data to images. It has various modes to set the look of the image before the shoot, like Landscape, Monochrome, Neutral, Portrait, Standard, Vivid, and a customized setting option. There is also a noise reduction method that reduces the noise components in the image to the normal level following auto-detection.
