Deep learning also allows the Z 9 to perform flawlessly with 3D tracking. With no effort you can track fast moving subjects as they move towards you, away from you and anything else in between. General subject detection and auto focus works all the way down -6.5 EV.

Nikon EXPEED 7

This is Nikon's newest and most powerful engine ever. Faster than the previous version, it can handle complex auto focus and auto exposure calculations. It also separately processes dual-streamed data from the stacked image sensor.

Since the slots are independent from each other, you can use cards with different write speeds, including XQD cards. Z 9 's electronic shutter features minimalKEY_TAB rolling-shutterKEY_TAB distortion, eliminating the need for a mechanical shutter. With this, you can shoot at shutter speeds up to 1/32,000 seconds in silence with no shutter vibration or shutter wear. Silent mode lets you turn off menu sounds, VR Lock, and lessens lens drive noises.
