72MM UV Protector Filter and 72mm Tulip Shaped Anti Lens Flare Hood

The Vivitar 72mm Lens Hood is primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light (flare) from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact.

Screw-mount lens hoods, such as this 72mm, are designed to screw right onto your lens or filter. A rear locking ring allows the user to rotate the hood 360 degrees.

Our Ultra Violet filters minimize the bluish cast sometimes found under daylight conditions. These filters will render your photos clearer, sharper and with more contrast. For those who enjoy outdoor photography, especially distant vistas, a UV filter can produce a more distinct image by removing much of the color aberration normally associated with atmospheric haze.
