does it suppose trident z rgb and able to control the RGB like the ASUS mobo (ASUS aura, something similar to that)?

I can't post a link here, but you should check the motherboard's Memory QVL on ASRock's website to confirm compatibility.

Though, I'd be extremely surprised if it didn't support it.

You should be able to use the ASUS Aura software to control the LED's on the ram.

Does this have built in wifi? I see it has antenna outputs on the io shield but there is no mention of it in the description.

It just has Ethernet (up to 1gb/s) initially. However, it also has an M.2 socket (Key E) which supports type 2230 WiFi/BT modules in the event you want to add your own internal WiFi.

*Due to the operating system limitation, the actual memory size may be less than 4GB for the reservation for system usage under Windows 32-bit OS. For Windows 64-bit OS with 64-bit CPU, there is no such limitation.

Is this motherboard suitable to overclock an i7 8700k to 5 Ghz?

Yep. You need proper cooling and maybe some binning luck as some 8700ks have more headroom than others. I can get to 5Ghz stable with proper AVX offset using a Noctua fan.

I read in the manual that if you use SATA0 SATA 1 is disabled.  Similarly, SATA 2 is in use 3 and 4 are disabled.  Does that mean that I cannot put SSDs in SATA0 and SATA1?

To the best of my knowledge, the manual is poorly worded. M2_1 shares lanes with SATA3_0 and SATA3_1. So, if SSDs are in the SATA3 ports, the M2 port is disabled or vice versa. Similarly, M2_2 shares lanes with SATA3_4 and SATA3_5. Which side is disabled will be automatically determined by the motherboard or can be forced in the UEFI. To answer your direct question, i do believe you can use SSDs in both SATA3_0 and SATA3_1 at the same time.

I think you mean CMOS. And yes, all board have it. It is needed to run the bios.

In the bios, does the cpu core voltage have options for auto, manual mode, offset mode, and adaptive mode?

The UEFI has virtually every option for overclocking you can think of.  For Core voltage, the immediate options are auto, offset, and fixed.  There are many other options.  As you select one, other settings become available.  I don't know what the equivalent of "adaptive" mode is, but if you mean that voltage changes based on demand, then that is certainly how it operates.  There are some forums that discuss various overclocking setups, and those might give you more detailed insight.  I installed an i5-8600K with 32GB of DDR4 2666 and did not overclock.  I've been very pleased with the result.  Not one hiccup so far.

Question 9

I've got a Evga 1060 ssc and will be getting a monitor that can run 1080p at 144hz. This motherboard (ASRock Z370 Extreme4) comes with only a d-sub and dvi-d port and I have read that a display port is good to use to maintain 144 hz when running the rig. So i guess what i am asking is: Is a display port needed?

Yes a display port is needed for 144hz..but you have a display port on your 1060.. so you don't need a display port on your motherboard.. your monitor usually comes with the display port cord needed to run the monitor at 144hz. Hope I answered your question somewhere in here lol.

I can't tell you for sure but I would say it shouldn't have a problem. It's rated to over 4k and down to 2k.
