This Sil3114 PCItoSATA RAID expansion card uses Silicon Image Sil3114 chip to expand four internal SATA ports for PCs equipped with traditional PCI slots. It is an ideal upgrade solution for old motherboards with limited native SATA connectors.
The controller supports multiple common RAID modes. RAID0 improves readwrite speed; RAID1 provides data mirroring protection; RAID5 balances performance and redundancy; JBOD mode enables simple disk spanning. Each SATA channel runs at 1.5Gbps SATAI speed and supports largecapacity hard drives.
It follows PCI 2.3 standard 32bit specification. Insert it into available PCI slot of desktop chassis, connect SATA data and power cables to hard drives, install corresponding driver to recognize storage devices normally. Compatible with many legacy Windows versions and Linux systems.
Comes with fullheight metal bracket for secure case installation. Perfect for retro computer renovation, small file storage and home backup systems. Important note: this is PCI interface instead of PCIExpress, bandwidth limited to SATA 1.5Gbps. Please confirm your mainboard has free PCI slot before ordering.
