This SFF-8482 SAS to SATA protocol adapter is a cost-effective storage conversion solution designed for repurposing retired server SAS hard disks on ordinary consumer and industrial motherboards. Integrated with dedicated SAS signal processing chip, it solves the core compatibility barrier that regular SATA controllers cannot identify SAS drives, eliminating the high cost of purchasing a full-size PCIe SAS RAID expansion card.

The input side adopts standard SFF-8482 29Pin SAS interface to plug directly into enterprise-grade SAS hard drives, while the output side is split into classic SATA 7Pin data signal terminal and 15Pin SATA power terminal. An extra independent power port is reserved to deliver sufficient and steady current for high-power SAS server hard disks, avoiding abnormal shutdown, disk drop or recognition failure caused by insufficient power supply.
