This adapter effectively splits the PCI Express lanes from the host system into multiple connections, in this case, 2 SFF-8643 ports. This allows for the attachment of U.2 form factor SSDs in a RAID or JBOD configuration
Motherboards and the BIOS MUST support bifurcation, otherwise, only the first drive can be recognized
The PCIe to SFF-8643 adapter is up to four times faster than SATA SSDs, with speeds of up to 32Gbps, providing breakneck read/write speeds, high-speed file access and transfers, and rapid boot times
Support Windows 10/8/7, RHEL/CentOS 7/8, VMware ESXi 6/7, Ubuntu Linux 18/20/21, etc. Full height bracket included. NOT support hot swapping!
