This LSI 9220-8i (M1015) HBA controller card supports IT firmware mode, specially built for NAS enthusiasts. It provides 6Gbps high-speed transmission for SAS and SATA hard drives through PCI-E slot.
With 8 internal ports, you can expand plenty of storage disks. IT mode disables RAID function and enables direct disk pass-through, which is the optimal solution for ZFS, FreeNAS and unRAID storage platforms.
