Question 1

Should I get the MR1812M or the smaller MR1411M?

Accepted Answer

Choose the MR1812M if you need its larger 18.5 × 11-inch platform or want a maximum height setting of 5.9 inches. The MR1411M has a smaller 14.57 × 9.25-inch platform and adjusts from 3.9 to 5.5 inches. Both are metal, height-adjustable Tripp Lite risers with a stated 44 lb. capacity, so the choice mainly depends on platform size and the height range that fits your setup.

Question 2

MR1812M or MR1815SWVL: which is better if I want to adjust my monitor height?

Accepted Answer

Choose the MR1812M if you want three height settings—4.3, 5.1, and 5.9 inches—and a ventilated metal platform. The MR1815SWVL raises equipment 6 inches and swivels 360 degrees, with two wooden shelves and an 88 lb. capacity. It suits users who value rotation, extra shelf space, or a higher load capacity; the MR1812M suits users who prefer height-setting options and a metal platform.

Question 3

Is the MR1812M or the MR1612D1 a better monitor riser for desk storage?

Accepted Answer

Choose the MR1612D1 if a built-in drawer for small office supplies is your priority; it offers two height settings, 2.5 and 4.7 inches, and supports up to 40 lb. Choose the MR1812M if you prefer a ventilated metal platform, three height settings up to 5.9 inches, and a 44 lb. capacity. The MR1612D1 adds drawer storage, while the MR1812M provides a metal surface and higher stated load capacity.

Question 4

Should I choose the Tripp Lite MR1812M or the MR1612?

Accepted Answer

Choose the MR1812M if you want a metal, ventilated 18.5 × 11-inch platform, a 44 lb. capacity, and three height settings from 4.3 to 5.9 inches. The MR1612 is a lighter plastic option with a smaller 15.5 × 11.25-inch platform, a 40 lb. capacity, and height settings from 1.25 to 5.25 inches. Choose the MR1612 if you need a lower starting height or prioritize a lighter riser; choose the MR1812M for its metal platform and larger support area.

Question 5

How much height adjustment does this monitor riser provide?

Accepted Answer

It has three height settings: 4.3, 5.1, and 5.9 inches above the desk. It is suited to choosing among those fixed heights, not to continuous adjustment.

Question 6

Does the riser require assembly, and are tools needed?

Accepted Answer

The listing says it assembles in a few seconds without tools. It does not describe the product as arriving fully assembled.

Question 7

Will this riser fit and support my monitor?

Accepted Answer

The platform measures about 18 × 11 inches and the product listing specifies a maximum load of 44 lb. Check both your monitor’s weight and the footprint of its base against those limits; screen size alone does not confirm fit.

Question 8

Does this riser leave room for items underneath?

Accepted Answer

The raised platform can create space beneath the monitor, but the available clearance is not specified in the provided product details. Measure any keyboard or other item you plan to store there before buying. The platform is ventilated and has rubber feet.
