Question 1

Should I choose the SIIG CE-MT1B12-S2 wall mount or a desk-mounted monitor arm?

Accepted Answer

Choose the CE-MT1B12-S2 if you want to mount one compatible display to a wall and keep the desk surface clear. Choose a desk-mounted arm, such as SIIG’s CE-MT2412-S1, if you want the monitor supported from the desk with a C-clamp or grommet base. The CE-MT2412-S1 supports monitors up to 13.2 lb and offers gas-spring height adjustment; the CE-MT1B12-S2 supports up to 33 lb but requires a suitable wall mounting location.

Question 2

Does the SIIG “dual-arm” articulating wall mount hold two monitors?

Accepted Answer

No. The CE-MT1B12-S2 is specified for one display. “Dual-arm articulating” describes its linked arm structure, not support for two monitors. Choose it for one 13–27-inch display weighing up to 33 lb; choose a mount explicitly rated for two displays if you need a dual-monitor setup.

Question 3

SIIG CE-MT1B12-S2 vs CE-MT2K12-S1: which wall mount should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Choose the CE-MT1B12-S2 for a 13–27-inch display weighing up to 33 lb; it extends up to 11.1 inches from the wall. Choose the CE-MT2K12-S1 if you want gas-spring height adjustment and support for a larger display up to 32 inches, provided it weighs no more than 19.8 lb. Both use 75×75 mm or 100×100 mm VESA patterns. Check display size, weight, and VESA compatibility before buying.

Question 4

Can I attach this arm to my desk?

Accepted Answer

The supplied information identifies it as a mounting arm but does not specify its mounting method or desk requirements. Verify whether it is desk-mounted and check the required desk thickness, clearance, and installation hardware before purchase.

Question 5

How much weight and what screen size can the arm support?

Accepted Answer

Those limits are not included in the supplied product information. Confirm the arm’s maximum display weight and supported screen size in the complete listing or manufacturer documentation before choosing it for a specific display.

Question 6

Will this mounting arm fit my monitor?

Accepted Answer

The provided product information does not list supported VESA patterns, display size, or weight capacity, so compatibility cannot be confirmed. Check the monitor’s mounting pattern and weight against the arm’s full specifications before buying.

Question 7

What type of mounting style does this product use?

Accepted Answer

This product uses a mounting arm style.

Question 8

What is the model of the mounting arm?

Accepted Answer

The model of the mounting arm is from the brand SIIG.
