Question 1

SIIG Dual 38-inch Stack vs. Ergotron LX Dual Stacking Arm: which fits heavier monitors?

Accepted Answer

Choose the SIIG if each monitor weighs more than 20 lb but no more than 26.5 lb, and is 38 inches or smaller. The Ergotron supports screens up to 40 inches, but its listed capacity is 7–20 lb per monitor. Check each display’s weight and VESA pattern before choosing; screen size alone does not establish compatibility.

Question 2

Should I get the SIIG mount or the VIVO STAND-V002L for two 27-inch monitors?

Accepted Answer

Both mounts list support for 27-inch monitors with VESA 75×75 mm or 100×100 mm mounting patterns. The SIIG provides more weight capacity per screen—26.5 lb versus VIVO’s 22 lb—and supports screens up to 38 inches rather than 34 inches. The VIVO has a slightly taller listed pole (35 inches versus SIIG’s 31.5 inches), so compare monitor weights and the height you need for your stack.

Question 3

Does the SIIG Dual 38-inch Stack Mount make sense if I only have one monitor?

Accepted Answer

It is designed to stack two displays, so it is a better fit if you plan to use—or soon add—a second monitor. SIIG says the upper pole section can be removed for a single-monitor setup, but if you expect to use only one screen, compare it with a single-monitor mount suited to that setup.

Question 4

Will this mount fit my monitors?

Accepted Answer

It supports two screens sized 13–38 inches, each weighing up to 26.5 lb, with VESA 75 × 75 mm or 100 × 100 mm mounting holes. Check all three requirements for each monitor before buying.

Question 5

Can I use two different-sized monitors?

Accepted Answer

The mount supports two stacked screens within its 13–38-inch range and weight limit of 26.5 lb per screen. Both monitors must have a supported VESA pattern; available clearance and positioning may depend on their dimensions.

Question 6

Can I stack the monitors vertically and rotate them to portrait?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This is a top-and-bottom mount, and its monitor plates rotate 360 degrees for portrait or landscape positioning. The pole provides up to 31.5 inches of height adjustment; check that the available range suits your preferred viewing setup.

Question 7

Will it fit my desk?

Accepted Answer

The SIIG specifications list both C-clamp and grommet mounting options. The clamp accommodates desktops 0.4–3.4 inches thick; the grommet option accommodates desktops 0.4–2.9 inches thick and requires a 0.4–2.3-inch hole. Check your desk dimensions and mounting area before ordering.
