Question 1

Should I get the SIIG 45-inch arm or a basic arm for a 27-inch monitor?

Accepted Answer

Choose the SIIG 45-inch arm if you may upgrade to a larger display, need support for a monitor over 14.3 lb, or need VESA 200×100 or 200×200 mounting. It supports screens up to 45 inches and 26.4 lb. SIIG’s basic CE-MT3311-S1 is rated for screens up to 27 inches and 14.3 lb, so it may suit a lighter, smaller monitor if you do not need the extra capacity. Check your monitor’s weight and VESA pattern before choosing.

Question 2

SIIG 45-inch arm or SIIG heavy-duty gas-spring arm for a large monitor?

Accepted Answer

Choose the 45-inch mechanical-spring arm for a compatible monitor weighing up to 26.4 lb; it also supports VESA 200×100 and 200×200 patterns. Choose SIIG’s heavy-duty CE-MT3H11-S1 if your monitor exceeds 26.4 lb but weighs no more than 50.7 lb, or if you want its built-in USB and audio ports. The heavy-duty model supports screens up to 49 inches. Confirm the monitor’s actual weight and VESA pattern, not just its diagonal size.

Question 3

SIIG 45-inch arm or Ergotron HX for a heavy ultrawide?

Accepted Answer

Choose the SIIG arm if your monitor is compatible with its VESA patterns and weighs between 2.2 and 26.4 lb. Choose the Ergotron HX if your monitor weighs more than 26.4 lb and is within the HX’s 20–42 lb capacity; Ergotron rates it for screens up to 49 inches. Both models’ size limits are not a substitute for checking monitor weight, VESA fit, and desk compatibility.

Question 4

SIIG 45-inch arm or Ergotron LX for a monitor under 34 inches?

Accepted Answer

For a monitor within the Ergotron LX’s 34-inch and 25-lb limits, either arm may fit if the mounting pattern is compatible. The SIIG supports screens up to 45 inches, monitors from 2.2 to 26.4 lb, and VESA patterns up to 200×200; it suits monitors that exceed the LX’s stated size limit or need those larger VESA patterns. Ergotron lists a 10-year warranty for the LX, while SIIG lists a 2-year limited warranty for this arm.

Question 5

Will this arm fit my 45-inch monitor?

Accepted Answer

It is listed for screens from 17 to 45 inches, but screen size alone does not confirm compatibility. Check that the monitor weighs no more than 26.4 lb and has a supported VESA pattern: 75×75, 100×100, or 200×200 mm.

Question 6

How do I check whether my monitor is compatible?

Accepted Answer

Check the monitor’s weight without its stand and its VESA hole pattern. This arm supports up to 26.4 lb and VESA patterns of 75×75, 100×100, and 200×200 mm. The product listing does not specify a minimum monitor weight, so confirm that detail if your screen is unusually light.

Question 7

Can I install it with a desk clamp or grommet mount?

Accepted Answer

The listing identifies both C-clamp and grommet mounting options. Check your desk’s construction, edge clearance, and thickness against the mount’s installation instructions; the listing does not provide a supported desk-thickness range. Avoid assuming a glass desktop is suitable without confirmation from the manufacturer.

Question 8

Is this arm suitable for a heavy curved monitor?

Accepted Answer

It may be suitable if the monitor is within the listed 26.4 lb maximum and uses a supported VESA pattern. Curved shape alone does not establish compatibility; check the monitor’s mounting pattern and weight, and confirm any model-specific requirements with the monitor maker.
