The Rocstor PrivacyView is an unframed privacy filter for 24-inch, 16:10 widescreen monitors, designed for people who want to limit side views of on-screen information in shared or public spaces.
Recommended For
- Office, healthcare, legal, or finance staff who regularly view sensitive records on a 24-inch 16:10 monitor in a shared or high-traffic workspace.
- People working at a fixed desk in an open office who want to reduce side-angle viewing of on-screen information without changing monitor software or settings.
- Staff handling patient, client, or employee information at reception desks, shared workstations, or other locations where passersby may see the display.
- Users whose monitor is confirmed to be 24 inches with a 16:10 aspect ratio and who want a reversible glossy/matte surface option.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- In an open office, a worker reviewing email or business documents can keep the screen easier to read from their seat while making casual side glances from nearby desks less revealing.
- At a shared workstation handling medical, legal, or financial records, the filter can make information less visible to people passing beside the desk, while the person seated in front continues working.
- At a reception or service desk in a busy area, staff can refer to appointment or customer details with less exposure to people approaching from the side; the filter reduces side viewing but does not replace access controls or careful screen placement.
- At a coworking or other shared workspace, a user working on a compatible 24-inch 16:10 monitor can reduce the chance of nearby people reading the screen from off-center positions.
- At a desk with noticeable reflections, the user can choose the matte side to reduce glare; in a less reflective setup, the glossy side is an alternative. The choice changes the viewing experience, not the need to match the filter to the monitor.

Reference Q&A
Q: Rocstor PrivacyView or 3M PF240W1B for a 24-inch 16:10 monitor?
A: Both are listed for 24-inch, 16:10 monitors and offer reversible glossy/matte viewing surfaces. The available specifications do not establish a head-to-head performance winner. Choose Rocstor if its listed TAA-compliant configuration and fit match your needs; choose 3M if you prefer 3M’s published product documentation. Confirm your monitor’s active-screen dimensions before ordering.
Q: Should I buy this 16:10 filter or a 24-inch 16:9 privacy filter?
A: Choose this Rocstor filter if your monitor’s active display is 16:10. A 24-inch 16:9 filter is a different shape and may not cover the screen correctly. Check the monitor’s aspect ratio and active-screen dimensions rather than relying on the diagonal size alone.
Q: Rocstor’s unframed filter or its framed 24-inch 16:10 version?
A: Choose this unframed model if you prefer a filter without a surrounding frame. Choose Rocstor’s framed PV0027-B1 if you want its framed design and hanger arms for attachment and removal. Both are specified for 24-inch 16:10 monitors; verify the mounting method and monitor fit before buying.
Q: Rocstor’s unframed filter or a 3M filter with COMPLY magnetic attachment?
A: Choose a 3M COMPLY magnetic model if you have a compatible full-screen monitor and want a magnetic attachment designed for quick removal. The Rocstor listing identifies this filter as unframed but does not specify a magnetic mount, so check its included mounting hardware and your monitor’s bezel style before choosing it.
Q: Will this fit my 24-inch monitor?
A: It is listed for a 24-inch widescreen display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Before buying, check your monitor’s visible screen dimensions and aspect ratio; the diagonal size alone does not confirm fit.
Q: Who is this privacy filter suitable for?
A: It is intended for someone using a 24-inch, 16:10 widescreen monitor who wants to limit side views of the display—for example, in a shared or public workspace. It is a monitor accessory, not a monitor or a standalone travel device.
Q: What should I check before ordering?
A: Confirm that the monitor’s visible display is 24 inches with a 16:10 aspect ratio, and compare its viewable width and height with the filter’s dimensions. Do not rely on the diagonal measurement alone.
Q: Does it block the screen from everyone else, including someone behind me?
A: Privacy filters are designed to limit viewing from the sides, not to hide the display from every position. The provided listing does not state a specific viewing angle for this Rocstor filter.
