Is this wall mountable?

Yes, according to the manual, although you must purchase the wall mount hardware separately and I haven't done this yet. The TV is nice and light and thin (about 17 pounds, maybe 3" thick.)You would have to allow a few inches behind it for cables, some of which exit the back, others the side. If you only need one HDML connection, there is one on the left end, as you look at the screen.

Mine arrived very quickly and in perfect shape.

Can this LED HDTV be used as an auxiliary monitor for a desk top computer as a second display?

Is this a smart tv?

No it's not a smart tv... And I would not recommend this tv I had mine for a little over a month and the screen went out on it.... And this was a refurbished tv but still 2 days after my iron egg warranty passed the tv died..

is this a 60, 120 or 240?

The refresh rate is 60.  So far not an issue watching HDTV, like hbo, showtime, etc, the tv is great for the price.  I would buy another one if I needed to.

Did anyone else's unit arrive with swirly water spots on their screen?

From someone cleaning the screen without using distilled water or appropriate cleaner?

I have received refurbished items in the past, and they always arrive professionally packaged and clean as a new unit would. My unit arrived like the original owner hastily packed it up and shipped it directly from his living room to my front door ;-)

Hopefully Newegg will toss me some credit back for the less than stellar condition it arrived in. I just find it hard to believe it left Sony in that condition after they refurbished it. Also, 2 of the 4 foam corner protectors were cracked in half. Sony factory would have replaced those upon repackaging. Plus, the plastic/foam tv wrap was also obviously reused and poorly re-installed.

What is the warranty on this refurbished item AND are there extended warranties available for purchase?

Hi there. The warranty is 90 days from the moment of purchase. Unfortunately there is no extended one, so you just have to stick with the regular. However, I should tell you that this product is really good, great value for the money. High quality, works perfectly, everything you would expect from Sony, and if something is wrong you can do RMA and newegg will replace it for you. Hope this helps. Happy shopping!

Some TV information says 60 HZ and others say 120 HZ. What is HZ and what is the difference between the two?

Basically its how fast the display refreshes the picture.
This means that a 120 hz display refreshes the picture twice as fast as a 60 hz.  If you are looking for a smoother picture you usually want a higher refresh rate.  If you are using it to watch sports you might want to get the 120hz. Fast motions on a screen will look clearer on a 120Hz vs 60HZ
