Does this have an AC input so that I don't have to burn through batteries? Also, does it come with a cord or do I have to buy one?

Yes, it comes with a power cord (120v ac) so you do not have to use batteries. Also, it has the jack for an iPod, mp3, or another device that can connect via aux cable, but it does not come with the aux cable.
