Question 1

I want to upgrade from my FX 4300, my question is does it come with cooling compound or should I buy some? right now my cooling compoind is some crest 3d white radiant mint, don't want to try that with a hotter, more expensive CPU.

Personally I would never use the compound that comes with the processor. I would always get higher grade stuff. It tends to work better and last longer. Some of the cheap stuff they send you with the processor tends to get crusty sometimes it dries out or separates from the processor.

Is the cooler quiet? The stock cooler I got from another process is loud enough.

well, it is a fan.  It doesn't bother me so much but maybe I don't notice it because I have several other fans on my machine.  I guess that would depend on the level of quiet you're looking for.  To answer your question, yeah it's pretty quiet compared to all the other fans I have in that machine.

Does this come with the thermal compound on the heatsink?

Yes it comes with the thermal compound on the heatsink, easily removed if you have a preferred  brand.

Does it perform well when it come to gaming?

Depends on the game, honestly at this time with the newer Intel processors this will be what bottle necks your system. SO of you build a gaming rig with this cpu and have issues even though you have a good GPU the downfall will be your cpu , I have this in my rig and while I can run most games on ultra settings I know that I already need to upgrade my motherboard and CPU and Ram to the newer generation of products coming out if I wish to keep running things on ultra settings.

I have the fx 6300 quad core oc at 4.4 ghz. looking for a fps increase in wow. Is it worth upgrading to the 8370? Not ready to upgrade my motherboard yet.

If your not wanting to invest in upgrading totally then yes, I personally am still running a 8370 at 4.8Ghz  watercooled with the corsair h100i v2 and running the Witcher 3 on ultra settings on 4k with a r9 390x as my gpu and I am averaging temps on the CPU at 33 to 41C depending on what all I am running at the time. And their isn't a game yet I have trouble running other than Player unknowns Battlegrounds because the game is utterly a mess when it comes to being optimized. So yes this CPU should be well worth its salt as far as WoW is concerned.

Is the corsair H80I a good cooler for this cpu?

Sure why not. Any water cooler should be better than air. With the hyper212 evo (air cooler) I start @ 39c and run games @45-59c in my hot florida bedroom. H80I should get cooler temps.

Would this be better than a fx 6300?

Bought this about 2 years ago, at which time 8-core Ryzen was still very expensive.  System has been up and running since then, I must say I got my money's worth.
I wanted a budget AMD 8-core for video threads, so from that single prerequisite I will say it is better than fx-6300.
If you can afford to wait, the price of that 100-core RGB processor (listed early April on Newegg)  should come down to a reasonable range pretty soon.

Would this pair well with a GTX 1650?

It will not pair well with current cpu heavy games. This cpu will surely bottleneck the GTX 1650.  I don't recommend it for graphic intensive games made after 2015. However, many games will run at 1080p 60fps on medium to high settings.

would this boost my FPS in H1Z1 where its noticable and worth doing?

It should so long as its better then the one that you are useing.i also think if i remember correct that this can be overclocked to get more power out of it but dont put any stock in that

Does this have hyper threading?

Nope, hyper threading is an Intel technology. It has 8 cores, but some cores share some machinery. Depending on the application, it will be treated differently. Haven't even come close to hitting peak usage on mine, though, and I run 30+ chrome tabs, Premiere Pro, and game all while capturing in FRAPS. More than solid.
