Wired, not wireless, so USB.  I have it running on a USB extension, the computer is in another room about 25 feet away & it works like a charm.

Yes, lighting is controlled via fn controls. So you hold fn + the key with the little sun looking thing. You can check out all the controls on cougars official website, they have the manual in pdf form.

Yes u can make it one solid color.. for solid colors i thinks there's only 8 but if u're going for sectioning parts of the keyboard a certain color then u could probably have around 45 or more color combinations.. (please note that u cant assign specific colors to the keyboard keys.. u can only assign specific colors to sections of the keyboard.

The illumination is tied into the power of the keyboard. The lighting will occur when plugged into any device with a usb port, no drivers or software required.

I have the keyboard and my media buttons the F1 to F9 buttons not working to control my media. What can I do to fix these problem?

Pressing the FN key + the media & numbers key doesn't work, eh. Have you tried to contact tech support? Did you try getting in touch with anyone at cougargaming?
