The stars of the show are dual TB4 ports - one upstream to the host, the other downstream for data or display output - with transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps and USB4/TB3 compatibility. When used for display output, the TB4 downstream port can output at up to 8K@60Hz or 4K@144Hz, with DSC. When paired with the docking stations DP 1.4 and/or HDMI 2.1 ports, dual (MST) or triple (Windows) output is possible at up to 4K@60Hz, depending on host support. These ports can do 8K@30Hz on their own with DSC.

Beyond the display capabilities, theres also a total of five USB ports for a wide range of devices. Three 10Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2x1) ports, two USB-C and one USB-A, are great for external storage, phones, and more, while dual 5Gbps (Gen 1x1) USB-A ports are good for everything else. These ports can provide 4.5W, 7.5W, or 18W, depending on the port. In addition to USB support, the Docking Station has built-in Gigabit Ethernet (1GbE) for reliable wired connectivity, a 3.5mm jack for audio input/output, and a dual memory card reader with support for microSD/SD 4.0 and TF 4.0 at up to 312MBps. What else could you want?

Note: For multi-display output on macOS and Linux PCs, the host system must support MST and the Thunderbolt 4 port must be used for one of the displays. Apple M1, M2, and M3 silicon does not support MST and only supports a single display over TB4/USB4.
