My smart phone is not so smart as to read a QR code. Is this a problem??

Initially I had same problem, but it worked with multiple attempts or you can try entering the code under bar code

I noticed when the recording starts it also beeps real loud in the recording. Is there a way to turn the beep off?

Yes, go to settings > alarm notification > Notification sound mode. Turn this to off.

You need to buy cloud services if you want store videos. they give something free for initial days
