The Cable Matters USB-C Gen 2 External 2.5" SSD Enclosure provides a convenient way to connect a 2.5" SSD or HDD drive to a computer. Add back-up storage to a computer with USB-A, USB-C or Thunderbolt 3. Simple installation with no tools required.

Important Notes
- M1 & M2 Mac computers only support 5Gbps data transfer. Intel Macs are not affected by this limitation
- 3.5" HDD drives are NOT compatible
- Data transfer rate is limited by the SATA SSD and USB port rating
- Some internal SSDs such as the Intel S3500 require 2A current, which exceeds USB power. These SSDs are not supported through USB and must be connected directly to a PSU.
