Waterproof?

I have only gotten in semi wet- washing dishes, sweating while exercising ect but it's been fine- I just dried the contact points as soon as I was able. It has a swimming icon on it, but I haven't worn it swimming

Does it have its own GPS, or relies on the GPS in the paired phone? What does "connected GPS" mean?

it connects to the GPS of your phone, this really is a great device, with lots of phone app options. And 150.00 is a good deal, i purchased it when it was 200.00 for my wife, who is not the most tech savvy person. she finds it easy to use, and comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
