The Curl Defining Brush is a lightweight, vented styling brush designed to help separate, shape and define wavy or curly hair during a wet styling routine. For more controlled results, start with wet hair and apply conditioner, leave-in product, mousse or gel as appropriate for your routine. Detangle existing knots with your fingers or a separate detangling tool. Divide the hair into small sections, begin near the ends and work upward without forcing the brush through resistance. Once a section moves freely, guide it across the curved brush and turn the edge outward to encourage separated curl clumps. The vented body allows water and styling product to pass through instead of collecting in a solid brush pad. Its lightweight plastic construction is convenient for wash day and travel. After use, remove trapped hair, rinse away product residue and allow the brush to air-dry. This brush is intended primarily for defining and styling wet, conditioned wavy and curly hair. Results can vary with curl pattern, density, length, product choice and technique. Very dense or tightly coiled hair may need smaller sections and complete detangling before styling. It should not be forced through dry, tightly tangled hair. When using it for a child, an adult should control the pressure and stop if the hair catches.
