Very little < 1GB. It is the reason why it cannot be upgraded to 16.04, not enough space for upgrade files.

Check the specs for your specific model but these should have a place for a security loop with small wire cable.

The hdmi port is a physical piece on the device, however the product does come with a short extension hdmi cable. It also includes power cable, power brick, and several wall adapters so no matter what country your in, they should have your.

can i use it through my chromebook?  using chromebook screen and keys?

Not really no. The HDMI port is for video and audio out only.

The only way this would be possible is if you get the stick setup with an HDMI monitor and then setup VNC for remote viewing and control from your chromebook.

Not likely; this unit is already a full-fledged computer, albeit an extremely basic one. The HDMI plug on it is meant to be plugged directly into a flat screen television or monitor; you wouldn't need a tablet anywhere in the equation. Also, you might wish to refrain from updating the OS on it - I did, and it locked up doing anything more than sitting on the desktop. I did a factory refresh, and skipped the Ubuntu update this time, and it seems to be responding a lot better. You won't get much more than basic web surfing done on it, but it does work; I've even streamed HD videos on it with no issues yet.

What about loading Windows 10 Iot that runs on the Raspberry Pi 2 and 3?

I don't know if there is a Windows IoT version that runs on an Intel Atom processor, but that is a different processor than the Raspberry Pi which is Broadcom which I think is an ARM flavor.  I didn't have much luck searching for that model number (I assume you tried too).

Can I install Windows (8 or 10) on it. i.e. can one boot from a windows 8/10 installation usb medium with this device?

I have actually managed to install Win 10 x86 on this but it takes several steps and when installed it is a little sluggish. Also, I noticed one answer said Win 7 would be best. This, however, is not possible since the stick only supports Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

Does this thing allow you to use the 1080p resolution setting?

Both the one I bought for myself and another I bought for a friend boot up directly to 1080p on our televisions and monitors which support 1920x1080 via HDMI.  However for mine, due to the unfortunate overscan my TV suffers from with no real way to adjust it via the TV itself, I was forced to pick another lower resolution that is still very adequate because messing with xrandr to adjust the size of the display for 1080p to compensate for overscan was a nightmare and didn't work out completely and even the closest I got still caused the image to appear somewhat distorted.  So be aware if you run this on a TV at that resolution the edges of your screen might get cut off.  On my regular computer monitor I did not suffer that at all though.

Keyboard/Mouse not included. Will either need a USB hub or keyboard/mouse that uses the same dongle (I use a Logitech with the unifying receiver).
