The MSI PRO DP21 is a compact business mini desktop with a 20-core Intel Core i7-14700, 16GB DDR5 memory, a 1TB NVMe SSD, and Windows 11 Pro, suited to office multitasking and productivity workloads that benefit from a fast processor.
Recommended For
- Office and back-office teams running Microsoft Office, browser-based business tools, email, and video calls from a fixed workstation; MSI positions the DP21 14M as a business desktop, and an IT Pro review of an earlier DP21 model found it suited to mainstream office tasks.
- Workers setting up a compact workstation on a small or crowded desk: the DP21’s 2.3-liter chassis supports VESA mounting, so it can be attached behind a compatible monitor.
- Office users who want a wired dual-display setup for spreadsheets, documents, and communication apps; MSI lists HDMI and DisplayPort outputs for the DP21 14M.
- Small offices or home-office users who want a stationary Windows 11 Pro desktop with built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet, rather than a laptop they need to carry between locations.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- At a small office desk, an employee can keep email, browser tabs, video meetings, and spreadsheets open together; reviews of the i7-14700 DP21 report strong multi-core performance for this compact business desktop.
- In a reception area or space-constrained office, the DP21 can run business applications while taking up little desk space; its VESA-mount option can keep the computer out of sight behind a compatible monitor.
- For an office IT team managing several PCs, the DP21 14M can support remote diagnostics, updates, and maintenance through Intel vPro features, reducing the need to visit each workstation for routine support.
- When a user needs to encode short video clips or run other CPU-heavy office jobs, the i7-14700 configuration can handle multi-threaded work; expect the fan to become more noticeable during sustained heavy processing.
- At a shared workstation, staff can connect everyday USB accessories such as a keyboard, mouse, and external storage without relying on a dock; the DP21 has a broad selection of front and rear USB ports.
