The removable M.2 NVMe SSD tray (MB840TP-B) supports standard M.2 sizes, including 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110, ensuring maximum SSD compatibility.
Designed with heat dissipation in mind, the MB842M5P-Bs aluminum tray acts as a built-in heatsink, efficiently transferring heat away from the SSD.
The included thermal pad fills any gaps between the SSD and the metal enclosure, ensuring optimal contact and efficient heat transfer. This design allows airflow to dissipate heat more effectively, maintaining peak SSD performance.
Frequent SSD swapping introduces the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage. The MB842M5P-B prevents this with built-in EMI grounding technology.
The MB842M5P-B is engineered to fully utilize PCIe 5.0, 4.0, and 3.0 x8 and x16 slots, ensuring broad compatibility across various enterprise and high-performance computing platforms.
The MB842M5P-B is equipped with drive activity LED indicator on the tray that shows the drive power and activity. The LED will be automatically powered off when no drive is installed to save power.
The optional 2-pin HDD activity signal output (cable not included) allows you to transfer the drive activity signal to the computer case or LED panel and lets you monitor the drive activity in your desired location.
Designed to withstand harsh environments, the MB842M5P-B features a full-metal construction including the chassis, drive tray, and mounting bracket.
