Hi, does this have to stay on the tripod or might we be able to remove and use with screws on a wall? We're wanting to use this outside but don't have an even flooring situation... And two toddler

I don't think this is the  best for that use. You would have to modify the screen by drilling holes in it to mount it more than likely.  This is a great screen for mobile use and is highly adjustable but will blow over with outdoor wind.  Even surface for the tripod seems like a must, also.
