Would I be able to disable the DPI buttons and program them to be used as in game buttons?

Yes. The buttons they are assigned to are just like the rest, customisable with whatever you want. Just be aware that to adjust the DPS of the mouse you'll need to go through the Corsair software and adjust the slider for whatever DPS setting you're currently sitting at. I will be coming from a Logitech Performance Mouse MX.
(tired of recharging it LOL) I don't play much games mostly web browsing and work applications will this mouse be great ?
I really like the RGB

I didn't find it to be great as a replacement for my Logitech Performance MX.  I'm sticking with with the Logitech on my desktop and will be selling off my Corsair.  I do love the Corsair RGB keyboard though.  :)
