This VL53L5X V2 TOF ranging sensor module adopts high-performance VL53L5CX FlightSense chip. It supports 8×8 multi-area matrix ranging, which can detect multiple targets simultaneously in the field of view. Featuring a wide 63° diagonal field of view and a maximum detection range of 4 meters, it supports up to 60Hz frame rate under 4×4 zone mode.

Different from ordinary infrared distance sensors, direct ToF technology achieves accurate absolute distance measurement without being affected by target color and surface reflectance. Equipped with a matched protective cover, the module restrains optical crosstalk and prevents dust from contaminating the optical window.

It communicates via standard I2C bus, works at 3.3V voltage, and supports low-power sleep mode with interrupt trigger function. Widely applied in robot obstacle avoidance, 3D space perception, gesture recognition, smart human presence detection, automatic equipment and various embedded DIY development projects.
