AJMRTC GY-9960-3.3 breakout board adopts APDS-9960 multi-functional optical sensor chip. It can achieve non-contact gesture recognition, proximity detection, RGBC color collection and ambient light brightness measurement all in one module. Four directional photodiodes capture reflected infrared signals to identify four basic hand gestures: up, down, left and right. The proximity function detects object distance up to 100mm. Equipped with an internal UV-IR blocking filter, it ensures accurate color reading under different lighting conditions. Using I2C bus and interrupt output, the module works stably at 3.3V supply voltage. This compact sensor board is widely used for interactive equipment, smart home switches, RGB light control, Arduino and Raspberry Pi electronic DIY projects.
