AJMRTC AS5600 magnetic encoder module is a high-performance non-contact rotary angle sensor built around the AS5600 chip. It detects the rotation angle of a paired diametric magnet above the chip without physical contact, eliminating friction and abrasion issues found in mechanical potentiometers and optical encoders. With 12-bit resolution, it divides a full circle into 4096 discrete steps for fine angle tracking. It supports three output methods: I2C digital communication, analog voltage output and PWM signal output, which can work seamlessly with Arduino, STM32, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi. Users can configure start angle, stop angle, hysteresis and PWM frequency via I2C commands without special programmers. The sensor can automatically enter low-power mode to cut power draw for battery-powered devices. It also provides magnet detection status to help developers judge whether the magnet is installed correctly. Widely adopted for robot arm joint angle feedback, BLDC motor closed-loop control, smart rotary knobs, pan-tilt positioning and DIY precision measurement instruments. Please prepare a matched diametrically magnetized magnet separately and keep it centered above the chip for best accuracy. Strong local magnetic interference will affect reading stability.
